This is also one I like. I think it's kind of cute. I can also see the mark making in the feathers and wings of the robin. This piece was done by Steffan Johnson and he used multiple techniques to do it, including charcoal, ink wash and paint. The mark making defiantly adds to the look of the feathers. The ink wash has a different effect to the paper. It just looks like a dripping background, then again it looks like it completes the piece.

I really like this one and not just because I'm a huge cat person. Done by Peter Clark, this one's mark-making was done in a collage style. I think while the value is in effective with the different papers used for this piece such as maps and such, I think it's pretty unique and kinda funny.

This piece was done by Edward Bowen. He did this one only in pencil and mostly in lines. The value didn't look that hard to get down since it's a line drawing but, it's like the lines mark making layers over the dark areas at least provide the most value.
